Air conditioning load aggregation modeling and the schedulable potential evaluation in the context of new-type power system

Abstract:

With the rapid socio-economic development, environmental pollution and energy demand are becoming increasingly prominent. Therefore, it becomes imperative to tap demand-side schedulable resources. Now that the air conditioning load occupies a large proportion of the peak power consumption in summer and is characterized by flexible scheduling, fast response and great schedulable potential, control technologies can be applied to ease up the shortage of power in peak hours. To this end, air conditioning load aggregation modeling and the schedulable potential are investigated. Firstly, a thermodynamic model of air conditioning is established. Secondly, an air conditioning load aggregation model with two kinds of different use behaviors is built, and the power demand of air conditioning load aggregation is obtained. Finally, the schedulable potential of the air conditioning aggregation load is analyzed by resetting the control targets. The results show that the method mentioned above can effectively evaluate the schedulable potential of air conditioning load.
